Assemblage - Assignment #2
For your second assignment you will be finding multiple surfaces or
objects to paint on.I wanted
to give you ample time to find it as you will be also writing a 200 word double
spaced document explaining how you made your decision. You may use the latex
paint from the first assignment and also acrylic paint that you purchase and any other approved non traditional material. I
want your application of paint to align conceptually with the
surface or object. You will have three weeks for this project and I expect everyone to show up with a portion of your project ready to paint in
class on January 30th and it will be due February 20th.
Assemblage-Assemblage is an artistic form or medium usually created on a defined substrate that consists of three-dimensional elements projecting out of or from the substrate. It is similar to collage, a two-dimensional medium. It is part of the visual arts, and it typically uses found objects, but is not limited to these materials
